Communications Chair

Nicholas Said is a senior studying Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering. As Communications Chair, Nicholas manages the ASCE Speaker Series for the University of Michigan chapter. At the university, he is also the Business Lead for the Concrete Canoe Team and a member of Chi Epsilon. In his free time, Nicholas enjoys playing soccer, watching a Michigan football game, and hanging out with friends.

President

Max Vollmert is a junior studying civil engineering. He represents the club, works with the CEE department on events, plans the spring trip to Chicago, and helps the other officers with their duties. Some of his hobbies include cooking, IM sports, and spending time with friends. He is looking forward to a great year in ASCE!

Brock Beemer is a Junior dual majoring in Civil and Environmental engineering. Within ASCE he is the vice president this year and was the secretary last year. In his free time he enjoys watching football, playing IM basketball, volleyball, and flag football. He is also a really great cook in his own opinion.

Treasurer

Nick Skiver is a senior studying civil engineering at the University of Michigan and is the treasurer for the ASCE student chapter. He manages the groups finances through reimbursements, makes contact with donors and the university for funding, and tracks all money spent and received throughout the year. Outside of the ASCE, Nick is the captain of Timber Strong Design Build, a project team in the CEE department, and is also a student coordinator for 1st Generation Engineers. Outside of school he enjoys golf, rock climbing, and attending Michigan football games.

Professional Development Chair

Sam Zaruba is a junior studying civil and environmental engineering. As the professional development chair, he develops relationships with other collegiate ASCE groups as well as the national chapter. Sam also plans professional development opportunities and events for ASCE members and CEE students. Outside ASCE, Sam is a project lead for BlueLab - Woven Wind. In his free time, Sam loves backpacking and playing tennis.

Social Media Chair

Elizabeth Borg is a senior studying civil engineering. As the Marketing Chair, she promotes ASCE's activities, mainly weekly Speaker Series, in our social media and website. She works alongside the CEE department on promoting the department events and news. Outside ASCE, Elizabeth is a member of the Barger Leadership Institute as the Lead Applied Leadership Fellow. In her free time, Elizabeth loves running, playing tennis, and rock climbing.

Community Service Chair

Alec Briggs is a junior studying Civil Engineering. He plans and organizes the multiple community service projects that the ASCE team puts on each year. Other groups he's involved in are Anchor College Church, and the Duck Game Club. During his free time, he likes to run around North Campus, study at the Dude, or grab coffee at Lowertown café.

Secretary

Hudson Wulff is a sophomore studying civil and environmental engineering. He is in charge of maintaining meeting minutes, sending out weekly emails, and keeping documents organized within ASCE. He is also involved with the Michigan Club Running Team and Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe Project Teams. In his free time, Hudson enjoys playing basketball, working out, and running along the Huron River.

Social Chair

Sinead Molony is a sophomore studying Civil Engineering with plans to focus on Structural Engineering. This year, she is serving as ASCE's social chair, organizing trivia nights, mixers, and other events for the club. Outside of engineering, she plays for Michigan's Club Field Hockey Team, the 2024 National Club Champions, and is also a member of SWE. This past summer, she studied abroad in Paris with IPE, the Michigan Engineering study abroad program, and highly recommends the experience.

Speaker Series Coordinator

Cori Spetnagel is a senior studying civil engineering. She plans and manages the professional speaker series hosted every Friday. Outside of ASCE, she is the president of Michigan Snowboard Club and competes on the club triathlon team. In her free time, she enjoys camping, thrifting, and playing tennis.
